  1. Cinnamon

To get rid of bad breath, as well as reducing the bacteria in your mouth, use cinnamon as it contains cinnamic aldehyde – an essential oil.

  • Take 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder and add it to 1 cup of water.
  • Boil and strain.
  • Use this as a mouth rinse twice in a day.
  1. Fenugreek

If your bad breath is caused by catarrhal infections, then fenugreek is the best option.

  • Take 1 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds and add it to 1 cup of water.
  • Boil and strain.
  • Drink this tea at least once a day until the bad breath goes away.
  1. Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is acidic which prevents bacteria from growing in your mouth while also getting rid of your bad breath.

  • Take 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and add it to 1 cup of water.You may also add a little salt.
  • Stir this, and rinse your mouth with it.
  1. Fennel

Fennel has antimicrobial properties which fights against the bacteria present in your mouth. It also freshens your mouth and decreases bad odor. You can chew 1 tablespoon of fennel to stimulate saliva production and keep your breath fresh. Or you can make a fennel tea and drink it a couple of times daily:

  • Take 1-2 teaspoons of fennel seeds and add it to a hot cup of water.
  • Let it steep for 5-10 minutes and drink.

Parsley has a high content of chlorophyll which can reduce bad breath. There are two ways you can use parsley to refresh your breath:

  • Take a fresh sprig of parsley and chew it as is or after dipping it in vinegar.
  • Take a few leaves of parsley and put them in a juicer. Drink this juice whenever you need to get rid of bad breath.
